![]() ![]() ![]() Condition of book consistent with being read but not abused. The following declaration is just after the FFEP: "This is the authorized Uniform Edition of all my books. Paper is very lightly toned and is very flexible pages are tight and clean with no marks. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. The book is in very good/near fine condition and may have been read: it is square, very clean, corners and edges free of bumps and dings, heel of spine lightly pushed in, head of spine is pulled spine is very lightly faded hinges are very tight and not damaged in any fashion fore edge has about a dozen tan/light brown 'age spots' which penetrate no more than 1/16". 8-3/8" tall, 446 numbered pages one-piece plain khaki/green cloth covered boards, gilt lettering on spine, front board is plain plain ivory end pages fore edge and bottom edge are rough cut, top edge is gilt. Part of a 25 volume set of Twain's writings. No indication concerning the edition nor any printing history the copyright page does have "E-N" near the bottom, which for Harpers means it was published in May (E) in 1913 (N).
